Buzztilt Review: Flying Tent Gets a Major Publicity Boost
on Their Way to a  $500k Raise

Flying Tent was a recent Kickstarter campaign that had all the elements of an incredibly special and also massive campaign. A half million dollar campaign is nothing to sneeze at, less than 1% of all crowdfunding campaigns launched worldwide on Kickstarter and Indiegogo will ever come close to reaching this number. Meanwhile the majority will end up failing to reach their goal. So how did The Flying Tent make it happen? Aside from being an incredible product, they also got a major PR Boost using Buzztilt’s Crowdfunding PR Services.

Some of our favorite projects that we get to work with are in the Outdoor Gear Space. Here at Buzztilt we’re big on the outdoors and our team frequently heads out to nearby National Parks on long weekends or vacations. In the past few years, entrepreneurs have been launching great products that serve this industry. Innovative new products that reinvent the camping experience from smart gear to cooking products to help us become smarter and more efficient digital adventurers.

The Flying Tent was one such product. The world’s first all-in-one floating tent, bivy tent, hammock, rain poncho and more. It is the definitive campaign product that seamlessly and easily transforms into a sleeping habitat while being portable enough to enable the ultimate in portability.

The Flying Tent Project started off strong, getting funded within 24 hours. They had a smart strategy in place that ensured they would be funded and could only leverage from there. We got in touch with the Flying Tent Team to throw gas on the fire and really blow this up. They had a community built in advance to earn their funding, now it was time to take their story to the world and really turn this into a massive campaign.
